Continuing our Sustainable Development

The Promotional Merchandise industry is a fast-paced, forever-changing industry. One of the most important recent themes has been sustainability, as environmental awareness and eco-conscious consumerism are on the rise, both people and businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of keeping our planet s and healthy for future generations and for the good of the planet.

 

Brands now recognise that aligning their branding efforts with sustainability is both beneficial for the planet but also resonates with their customers. Whether it’s with eco-friendly merchandise like recycled plastic promotional products and wood, bamboo, wheat, aluminium and much more, the promotional merchandise industry has noticed a positive shift towards a greener planet.

 

On the 8th of June our commercial director, Loren, attended the British Promotional Merchandise Association’s (BPMA) conference on sustainability. The conference was aimed at helping both distributors and suppliers along their journey with sustainability to which they did this with a range of workshops and fascinating seminars to learn more about the sustainable future of the industry. The exciting new StepForward pledge was announced at this conference which is a BPMA-Led initiative to help its members take steps to improve their sustainability performance by committing to climate-positive actions and tracking their sustainability performance up until 2030 which focuses on actions about products, the planet, and people.

 

The pledge was first announced at our Promotional Merchandise Expo in which we became a founding, signatory member of the pledge.
